We purchase technical and edible rape seeds in accordance to requirements referred to the State Standard (ГОСТ 10583-76)

The company have been dealing with rape for over 8 years. Optional our specialists could consult you regarding agro-technologies of rape growing. Our specialists also consult on conducting laboratory tests on rapeseeds, which are necessary while raw materials acceptance, as well as special requirements of the procedure.

Own elevators are outfitted with modern equipment to determine quality of produce received as well as drying raw materials up and conditioning them to State Standards (ГОСТ). All elevators are certified to provide grain storage services.

Erucidic Acid Indexes

Considering erucidic acid content State Standard (ГОСТ) rates 2 classes:
1-st Class – 5% erucidic acid content max
2-nd Class doesn’t rate this index. We apply the following pattern:

• 2% erucidic acid content max
• 5% erucidic acid content max
• High erucidic acid content, over 5%

It’s unwise to save on seeds quality

Does rape yield condition on seeds quality?

Like any plant, rape yield depends on 3 key factors:

• seeds quality
• cultivating and harvesting techniques
• weather conditions

While growing rape, however, seeds quality is of critical importance.

E.g., using non-first regeneration seeds will not make expected outcome even if favourable weather conditions happen together with careful following cultivating and harvesting techniques.

Are there Ukrainian selection seeds of high quality?

Sure, there are pretty high-quality domestic seeds which could compete with imported ones by yield index. At present, however, imported seeds have the edge.

Why large producers prefer imported seeds to domestic

To our opinion imported seeds principally differ from domestic in:

• Easy sowing (handy package; preliminary insects’ protection; encapsulation, i.e. seeds are contained within special shells providing essential nutrition for the seeds opening).
• Guaranteed quality by indexes of erucidic acid and glucosinolates content.

Please note, that European requirements regarding these indexes are rather high.

If domestic rapeseeds could meet European requirements against erucidic acid indexes, unfortunately glucosinolates content leaves much to be desired.

In Ukraine, unfortunately, the procedure of seeds acceptance and determination of this index is not well-developed yet. That is why only imported seeds procurement could grant yield correspondence to the European Standards.
